Teen Beginning Digital Photography (8 WEEKS)
The Teen Beginning Digital Photography class is designed for teens ages 13–17. This eight-week course explores the fundamentals of photography using a phone or digital camera. Through photo walks, shooting assignments, and hands-on projects, students will learn about composition, light, subject matter, and visual storytelling, then explore ways to edit, refine, print, and present their images.
Photo Transfer Workshop (1 DAY)
Join us for a hands on Photo Transfer Workshop. We will learn how to transfer photographic images onto water color paper to make one of a kind prints that resemble paintings.
Teen Beginning Film and Darkroom (8 weeks)
The Teen Beginning Film and Darkroom class is designed for photographers ages 13–17. This eight-week course introduces the complete black-and-white analog process, from camera to darkroom. Students will learn to expose film, develop their own negatives, and create silver gelatin prints while building technical skills, creative confidence, and a strong foundation in traditional photography.
Teen creative explorations in photography (8 WEEKS)
The Teen Creative Explorations in Photography is designed for ages 13–17, this eight-week course explores photography beyond the traditional camera. Students will experiment with cyanotypes, photograms, pinhole cameras, alternative darkroom processes, and mixed-media projects while learning how light and photographic materials can be used to create images in unexpected ways.
Beginning Darkroom Printing (4 Weeks)
Beginning Darkroom Printing is designed for photographers who have already shot and developed black-and-white negatives and want to learn to print. This four-week course introduces the fundamentals of darkroom printing. Learn to use enlargers, photographic paper, and chemistry while becoming more familiar with exposure, contrast, and the complete printing workflow.
Chromoskedasic Sabatier Workshop (1 day)
Chromoskedasic Sabatier: Painting with Chemicals
This experimental darkroom workshop is all about painting with chemistry. Using added darkroom chemicals and light, you’ll watch black-and-white paper transform in unpredictable ways—surfaces shifting into metallic, weathered, or abstract textures. The process is magical, messy, and full of surprises.

Cyanotype WORKSHOP (2 days)
Join us for an interactive Cyanotype Workshop with Harini Krishnamurthy. We will learn a brief history of cyanotypes, how to prep the paper, and how to expose. Harini will cover both traditional and wet cyanotypes.
intermediate darkroom printing (4 weeks)
Take your darkroom skills to the next level. This four-week course explores the decision-making process of the master printer—evaluating negatives, solving complex problems, controlling tone and contrast, and creating expressive, personal prints through deliberate interpretation.

Join us for a Lumen Printing Workshop with Harini Krishnamurthy at The Seattle Light Room. This class introduces lumen printing, a cameraless photographic process that uses sunlight and time to transform black-and-white photographic paper into richly colored, one-of-a-kind images.
