Beginning Darkroom Printing is designed for photographers who have already shot and developed black-and-white negatives and want to learn to print. This four-week course introduces the fundamentals of darkroom printing. Learn to use enlargers, photographic paper, and chemistry while becoming more familiar with exposure, contrast, and the complete printing workflow. Leave with the skills and confidence to continue printing independently or take the next step with the Intermediate Darkroom Printing class.
Prerequisites: You must come to class with developed black & white negatives. We will not be covering film development in this class. If you are interested in learning to develop a roll of film, you can take a two hour intro class. No knowledge of darkroom printing is required.
