“drawing and photography have always been mediums I like to work with. The expressive qualities of charcoal and paint offer countless possibilities. Capturing someone’s likeness through line, color, and shape is deeply satisfying. The immediacy of photography gives me time to think about how I feel and the possible stories words and pictures can tell.
Why anyone creates art is complicated. The medium I use is only important because I want to feel comfortable working with it. The why for me is the artistic process—the experience of relaxing control and being completely involved in the act of making.” marcia glover
